Movement to work gets the green light

North Wales Training have been chosen as the training provider for North Wales for the Tesco Movement to Work Programme, which is a two week programme to support young people aged 16-30 not in education, employment or training to get into work.

The programme consists of 5 days training, a 4 day work placement and a guaranteed interview.

the programme, which launches in October 2020 will be delivered in Denbighshire and Conwy to support the Llandudno Junction Store’s Christmas recruitment.

To support social distancing, the course will be delivered virtually through Microsoft Teams and cover all aspects of customer service, health & safety, interview skills, preparing for a placement and working in retail during COVID-19.

At Tesco we are committed to ensuring young people are given the opportunity, tools, support and confidence to succeed in their future careers. We want them to experience the diverse, exciting and rewarding environment here at Tesco, while gaining a transferable accredited qualification. Movement to Work is vital in cultivating and nurturing young talent who might otherwise feel excluded from the workforce.
