Kickstart Scheme Gathers Momentum in North Wales
The Kickstart scheme launched last September is picking up speed and North Wales Training is pleased to be among its pace setters.
The scheme has so far created tens of thousands of new jobs for 16 - 24 year olds in Wales hardest hit by the economic impact of the pandemic while giving employers a welcome helping hand that’s virtually cost free.
As a registered Kickstart Gateway North Wales Training now has nearly 100 active vacancies and is actively working to process another 250+ vacancies now that the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) has cleared their initial backlog.
Best of all from 3rd February the Government will be removing the threshold of a minimum 30 jobs for direct applications, making it even simpler to get involved.
With more and more people being vaccinated against Covid-19 Secretary of State for the DWP Thérèse Coffey says “now is the time to prepare for post-lockdown placements” and to make the most of your local Kickstart gateway.
With its strong local connections, friendly and capable team, and ability to offer tailored support North Wales Training is an ideal gateway for employers to access all the opportunities afforded by the Kickstart Scheme.
