How our MAC Traineeship helped Daryl McHugh
While in school Daryl had poor attendance and behaviour, so he was given a place on our 2 year personal development course. Once the course was completed and Daryl left school he returned to complete a Traineeship on the Military Awareness Course.
Daryl was dedicated to attend each day because he lived in Betws Y Coed meaning he would need to take several train / bus journeys to attend the course.
Daryl gained qualifications in Level 2 under the school provision & Level 1 on the Traineeship where he gained masses of confidence, leadership skills, teamwork and problem solving alongside his personal fitness and stamina. He mentored newer learners who joined the course and helped them to progress within the programme, so he was born to be a learner.
Daryl gained full time employment when he joined the British Army in the Welsh Guards Regiment. He has recently been promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
Well done Daryl, our staff are proud of the all the achievements and dedication throughout your time at North Wales Training.
