The Apprenticeship, Traineeship & Jobs Growth Wales Programmes, led by the Welsh Government, are supported by the European Social Fund
A Military Traineeship for 16-18 year olds who are not in work or education. We give learners a head start on the application process working on fitness, drill, navigation, first-aid and also working closely with regiments within the forces to give you the best possible start to a career in the Military.
What is a Traineeship?
A Traineeship is a short programme that gives young people the skills needed to start their career. The Military Traineeship is designed to get you mentally and physically fit before you start basic training. As well as that we also work closely with regiments who can provide an insight into Military life and help answer any questions with regards to the Army's recruitment & selection process.
The Military Training focuses on the following:
Fitness - Fitness is a key part to the Armed Forces and passing the recruitment stage. We undertake daily physical training sessions as well as running a few miles to get you ready for your physical assessment.
Military Subjects - You will be taught the basic skills needed for Military life such as navigation, drill, skill at arms and first aid to name a few.
Skill Development - Team building, confidence and problem solving skills will help you in all walks off life especially in the Armed Forces. We help you build on these skills over the period of the course to give you the best start to your career possible.
Why Complete a Traineeship?
Maybe you want to work on your fitness in preparation for the selection process or maybe you just want a taster of things to come, either way a Traineeship is a great way of doing both.
